Many student-parents balance work, school and family needs without access to affordable child care, flexible course and work schedules or convenient transportation. Although grants are offered to help low-income students,Lydia Palacios, director of the Children’s Center, explains the grants’ coverage for child care. There needs to be flexible classes that can save students' time in parenting children. CSUF needs free or affordable child care to ease students’ worries about juggling school.
