The Palisades Charter High School Class of 2022—comprised of nearly 700 seniors—threw up their graduation caps in celebration at a ceremony marking the end of their high school journey at Stadium by the Sea on June 9. You and your graduate have experienced unprecedented challenges and changes, and Pali High is thankful for your collaboration, your generous support and perseverance over the past four years to reach this milestone in your graduate’s life. “These past two years have redefined the bar for things being ‘a little nuts,’ and at the same time, you, the Class of 2022, all have redefined the bar for adapting in the face of an  unthinkable and unpredictable circumstance,” Melvoin said at the graduation. With this year’s senior class, parents, staff, teachers and students going through an unprecedented experience with the pandemic that forever altered their lives, it was the words of Accardo at the end of his speech that echoed the theme of the graduation: happiness of having spent their last year together and gratitude for all the supportive parents, staff and teachers that helped them get through it.
