In April, mutual funds’ direct investment in equities more than doubled to Rs 5,933.38 crore from Rs 2,476.45 crore in March. Systematic Investment Plan inflows though were lower at Rs 8,590 crore in April compared to Rs 9,182 crore in the previous month.
